Mrs. Lydia Aderonke Akobi is currently the 5th grade homeroom teacher at the Linden SDA School. She was born in the ancient city of Ile-lfe, the spiritual home of the Yorubas in the most
populous country of Nigeria, Africa. She attended the University of Ibadan where she received a bachelor’s degree in Education. She then obtained a Master of Education degree with concentration in Administration from Atlantic Union College. Mrs. Akobi has been teaching for thirty-two years and has been on the staff of the Linden Seventh-day Adventist School since 1997. As the 5th grade teacher, she prepares students for the N.Y. Common Core State tests in English Language Arts and Mathematics, and has always had excellent results.
Mrs. Akobi is the coordinator for the school’s outreach program which works closely with St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. She is married to Elder Richard Akobi and they are blessed with three adult children, Richard Jr., Olutola and Dr. Temilola Akobi.
