NAAQC Basketball Program (5-8 Graders)

At NAAQC, our Basketball Afterschool Program provides students with a fun, engaging, and educational experience centered around the sport of basketball. Designed for students in grades 5-8, this program emphasizes not only the development of athletic skills but also the nurturing of Christian values and character.

Program Highlights:

  • Skill Development: Our experienced coaches focus on teaching fundamental basketball skills such as dribbling, shooting, passing, and defensive strategies. Through drills and practice sessions, students will enhance their athletic abilities and gain confidence on the court.
  • Teamwork and Sportsmanship: Emphasizing the importance of teamwork, cooperation, and respect, our program encourages students to work together and support one another. We believe that sports provide an excellent opportunity to teach valuable life lessons about fair play and integrity.
  • Faith Integration: As a Christian school, we incorporate biblical principles into our coaching and activities. Students will learn about perseverance, humility, and gratitude, with a focus on how these values can be applied both on and off the court.
  • Healthy Competition: Regular scrimmages and friendly games allow students to put their skills to the test in a supportive and structured environment. We aim to create a positive atmosphere where every child feels valued and encouraged.
  • Physical Fitness: Our program promotes physical health and well-being, helping students to develop healthy habits that will benefit them throughout their lives. Engaging in regular physical activity is essential for growth and overall wellness.

NAAQC Praise Dance Ministry Program (3-8 Graders)

At Northeastern Adventist Academy, our Praise Dance Ministry Afterschool Program offers students a unique and enriching experience that combines American Sign Language, interpretive acting, and Liturgical Dance to create powerful expressions of worship and praise. Designed for students in 3rd – 8th Grade, this program provides a joyful and creative outlet where students can deepen their faith and artistic skills.

Program Highlights:

  • American Sign Language (ASL): Students will learn to incorporate ASL into their performances, enhancing their ability to communicate and express the meaning of the songs they are interpreting. This not only broadens their communication skills but also brings a deeper level of inclusivity to their worship.
  • Interpretive Acting: Through interpretive acting, students will explore how to convey emotions, stories, and biblical messages through movement and expression. This aspect of the program helps them to understand and interpret the spiritual themes in a meaningful and impactful way.
  • Liturgical Dance: Focusing on the tradition of Liturgical Dance, students will learn choreographed routines that combine dance with worship. This form of dance is a beautiful way to physically express faith and devotion, enhancing the spiritual experience for both the performers and the audience.
  • Creative Expression: Encouraging creativity and individuality, our program allows students to contribute their own ideas and interpretations to their performances. This fosters a sense of ownership and pride in their work, as well as a deeper connection to their faith.
  • Community and Fellowship: Students will form bonds with their peers as they work together on performances and share their faith journeys. This program promotes a supportive and nurturing environment where every child is valued and encouraged to grow both artistically and spiritually.
  • Faith Integration: Central to our program is the integration of Christian teachings and values. Through prayer, scripture, and reflection, students will learn to see their artistic talents as gifts from God, meant to be used for His glory.
